Our commitment

The Town of Etna Green wants every resident and visitor to be able to read, navigate, and use this website, including people who use a screen reader, navigate by keyboard, magnify the screen, or rely on captions and plain language.

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, the standard adopted under Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act for state and local government websites.

What we have done

• Every page can be used with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator and a “Skip to main content” link.
• Photos have text descriptions, and decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
• Text and background colors meet the WCAG AA contrast minimum.
• Pages use proper headings, landmarks, and labels so screen readers can move through them.
• The contact form labels every field, explains errors in plain words, and moves focus to the problem.
• Animation is turned off for visitors whose device asks for reduced motion.
• The site works at any screen size and when text is enlarged up to 200 percent.

Known limitations

Online bill payment is handled by PayGov, and the Town Code and budget notices are published on outside websites. The Town does not control those sites. If you have trouble using any of them, contact Town Hall and we will help you complete the task another way, such as by phone, by mail, or in person.

Alternative formats

Any information on this website is available on request in another format, such as large print or plain text, or over the phone. Town Hall can also provide reasonable accommodations for town meetings and services. Please give us a few business days to prepare materials.
